Say hello to the 2014/15 Green Impact Project Assistants!

Green Impact is back for 2014/15 after the huge successes of last year!

This week saw 44 students join the programme to lend a helping hand.

Here are some of this years student volunteers!

Green Impact Project Assistants are student volunteers who assist teams with their projects as they work through the workbook. We had an overwhelming response this year, with over 70 applications for the positions available. A big well done to those successful candidates!

Students this year come from a broad range of subjects; from History to Engineering and Law to Biology. We have undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students all taking part this year. It shows how interest in environmental issues and sustainability is spread widely among students throughout the university.

GIPAs have just been assigned to their teams. There are Green Impact teams in 70% of university departments ranging from new teams just beginning Green Impact this year to the Corporate Affairs team who have designed an Excellence project. The GIPA role promises to be exciting and varied providing students with a host of skills. Good luck to our student volunteers, you’ll all be fab!
