This week, colleagues in New Spring House donated time, energy and great gifts to pack up shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian international relief organisation whose mission is to provide shoe boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease. We added the boxes to the Wall of boxes at the local church, St Tim’s in Crookes as part of the Remembrance Day service. Around 100 boxes were collected during the Service.
